Trevor George Smith Jr. (born May 20, 1972), known professionally as Busta Rhymes, is an American rapper and actor. Chuck D of Public Enemy gave him the moniker Busta Rhymes, after NFL and CFL wide receiver George “Buster” Rhymes. He has received 12 Grammy Award nominations for his work, making him one of the most-nominated artists without winning.

Busta Rhymes was an original member of Leaders of the New School, a group that attracted national attention when they opened on tour for Public Enemy.[5] He gained exposure for their guest appearance on A Tribe Called Quest’s track “Scenario”. Shortly thereafter, Leaders of the New School broke up, leading Rhymes to become a sought after solo artist, appearing on numerous tracks for other artists before his solo debut album, The Coming (1996). The album reached the top ten on the Billboard 200 album chart, was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and earned him a Grammy nomination.

Timothy Mosley is an American rapper and record producer better known as Timbaland. Elgin Baylor Lumpkin (born October 15, 1970 in Washington, D.C.) better known by his stage name Ginuwine is an American singer and performer. Signed to Epic Records since the mid-1990s, Ginuwine has released a number of multi-platinum and platinum-selling albums and singles, becoming one of R&B’s top artists during the 1990s heyday of hip-hop soul. Ginuwine’s single, PONY is synonymous with 1990’s R&B.

Alvin Nathaniel Joiner (born September 18, 1974), better known by his stage name Xzibit (pronounced “exhibit”), is an American rapper, actor, television presenter, and radio personality. He began his musical career in 1992, and signed with Loud Records, an imprint of RCA Records to release his debut studio album, At the Speed of Life (1996). The album saw positive critical reception, modestly entered the Billboard 200, and spawned the single “Paparazzi,” which peaked at number 83 on the Billboard Hot 100. His second album, 40 Dayz & 40 Nightz (1998) was met with similar reception and spawned the single “What U See Is What U Get.”

His success caught the attention of West Coast rapper Dr. Dre, who served as the executive producer for Xzibit’s next two albums; his third, Restless (2000) was further commercially-oriented and peaked at number 12 on the Billboard 200. He then departed Loud Records in favor of Columbia Records for the release of his fourth album Man vs. Machine (2003), which peaked at number three on the chart. Both albums were co-released by Xzibit’s own label, Open Bar Entertainment. His next albums, Weapons of Mass Destruction (2004) and Full Circle (2006) preceded a brief public hiatus, and he returned for the release of his seventh studio album, Napalm (2012). Since 2013, he performs as a member of the hip-hop supergroup Serial Killers.

Katrina Laverne Kearse (née Taylor; born December 3), known professionally as Trina, is an American rapper. She rose to prominence in the late 1990s for her collaborations with Trick Daddy on the singles “Nann Nigga”, “Shut Up”, and “Take It to da House”. In 2000, she released her debut album Da Baddest Bitch. Afterwards, she made an appearance on the remix of “One Minute Man” by Missy Elliott and Ludacris. In 2002, she released the Kanye West-produced single “B R Right” featuring Ludacris, from her sophomore album Diamond Princess (2002).

Trina’s third album Glamorest Life (2005), spawned the hit single “Here We Go” featuring Kelly Rowland, which was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Her follow-up album Still da Baddest (2008), peaked within the top ten on the Billboard 200, and reached number one on the US R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.

She has been described by XXL as “the most consistent female rapper of all time”. In 2014, Trina was included in Billboard‘s list of the “31 Female Rappers Who Changed Hip-Hop”.

Jasiel Amon Robinson (born September 20, 1980),<sup id=”cite_ref-allmusic_1-2″ class=”reference”></sup>better known by his stage name Yung Joc, is an American rapper. He is best known for his 2006 hit single “It’s Goin’ Down”, and as a feature on T-Pain’s 2007 U.S. number-one single “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’)”.

Robinson met Atlanta producer Nitti Beatz and the two recorded the hit “It’s Goin Down” in the spring of 2005. After teaming with Russell “Block” Spencer, founder of the Block Enterprises label, Spencer signed Robinson to Sean Combs’s Bad Boy South for a multimillion-dollar deal, <sup id=”cite_ref-4″ class=”reference”></sup><sup id=”cite_ref-5″ class=”reference”></sup>and Bad Boy released Robinson’s debut <i>New Joc City</i> the following year.

Robinson was on 2006 “Forbes’ Richest Rappers List”, ranking at No. 20, having grossed approximately $10 million that year. <sup id=”cite_ref-6″ class=”reference”></sup>”It’s Goin’ Down” reached No. 3 on the <i>Billboard </i>Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart. The next single, “I Know U See It”, reached No. 17 on the Hot 100 and No. 2 on the Hot Rap Tracks.

Warren Anderson Mathis (born March 6, 1977), better known by his stage name Bubba Sparxxx, is an American rapper. His singles include “Deliverance”, “Ugly” (both featuring Timbaland), and “Ms. New Booty” (featuring Ying Yang Twins and Mr. Collipark), the latter of which peaked at number 7 on the U.S. <i>Billboard</i>Hot 100.

Sparxxx’s first commercial release, <i>Dark Days, Bright Nights</i>, released in 2001. The debut album saw some success in Georgia and caught the attention of Jimmy Iovine of Interscope Records.
