Chingy rose to superstardom with the Billboard Hot 100 smash “Right Thurr,” a cultural phenomenon that helped shape early‑2000s hip‑hop slang. He followed the breakout hit with multiple charting singles including “Holidae In,” “One Call Away,” and “Pullin’ Me Back.” His double‑Platinum RIAA‑certified debut album Jackpot was followed by the Platinum release Powerballin’, featuring collaborations with Janet Jackson and other top artists.

Chingy continued his success with the Gold‑certified album Hoodstar, which reached the Billboard 200 Top 10 and produced several Hot 100 hits.

An actor and philanthropist, Chingy remains active in music and continues writing and recording, most recently releasing “The Woah Down” featuring Meg & Tyler.
